Welcome to UPE JOYRYDEZ (“Company,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all vehicle rentals and use of our website, social media pages, and related services (collectively, the “Services”). By booking, renting, or using any vehicle through UPE JOYRYDEZ, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Eligibility Requirements

 

To rent a vehicle from UPE JOYRYDEZ, you must:

Be at least 21 years of age (25 for select vehicle classes).

Hold a valid driver’s license issued in the United States.

Provide proof of active auto insurance in your name that meets or exceeds Illinois state minimum coverage requirements.

Present a valid payment method and agree to the applicable deposit policy before vehicle release.

We reserve the right to decline rentals to anyone who does not meet these eligibility standards or fails to pass our screening requirements.

2. Payment and Deposit Policy

 

A $300 standard security deposit is required for all rentals paid with a credit card.

Rentals paid with a debit card or peer-to-peer payment method (e.g., Cash App, Zelle, Venmo) require a deposit equal to 1.5 times the standard deposit.

Luxury and sport vehicles require a credit card only for both rental payment and deposit authorization.

Deposits are refundable after the vehicle is returned in the same condition, subject to inspection and any applicable fees (e.g., cleaning, fuel, tolls, or damages).

All rental charges, taxes, and deposits must be paid in full prior to vehicle release.

3. Vehicle Use and Responsibility

 

Only authorized drivers listed in the rental agreement may operate the vehicle.

The renter is responsible for the safe, lawful, and reasonable use of the vehicle.

The following are strictly prohibited:

Operating the vehicle under the influence of drugs or alcohol

Off-road driving, street racing, or reckless driving

Transporting illegal substances or items

Allowing unauthorized persons to drive

Smoking or vaping inside the vehicle

Violations may result in termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of the deposit, and additional charges for cleaning or damages.

4. Insurance and Liability

 

Active auto insurance is required to rent any vehicle from UPE JOYRYDEZ.

Renters must provide proof of insurance prior to vehicle release.

UPE JOYRYDEZ does not guarantee coverage from third-party insurers.

Optional supplemental insurance or damage waivers may be offered through our partners; coverage terms vary by provider and are subject to approval.

The renter is financially responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to the vehicle during the rental period, except as limited by applicable law or optional protection purchased.

5. Vehicle Condition and Return

 

Each vehicle is inspected before and after rental.

Vehicles must be returned in the same condition, with the same fuel level, and free of excessive dirt, odor, or personal belongings.

Cleaning fees or damage charges may apply for vehicles returned excessively dirty, with smoke odor, or with unreported damage.

Late returns may incur additional daily or hourly rental charges.

 

6. Cancellations and Refunds

 

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the scheduled pickup time to avoid cancellation fees. No refunds are issued; rental credit will be provided instead.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the scheduled pickup time will incur a $100 cancellation fee or one day’s rental charge (whichever is greater). The remaining balance will be issued as rental credit.

No refunds are issued under any circumstances except as specifically outlined below.

All reservations, holds, bookings, and payments are final. UPE JOYRYDEZ does not issue refunds for cancellations, no-shows, or early returns except in the following two situations:

 

1. Mechanical Breakdown – If the rented vehicle experiences a verified mechanical failure due to fault of UPE JOYRYDEZ and a replacement vehicle is not available, a full refund will be issued.

 

2. Vehicle Unavailability – If a vehicle has been booked and confirmed but UPE JOYRYDEZ is unable to provide the vehicle or a comparable replacement at the time of pickup, a full refund will be issued.

For any other reason, a rental credit will be issued. This credit may be redeemed toward a future rental within 30 days of issuance. Unused credits expire after 30 days and hold no cash value.

7. Website and Content Use

 

The UPE JOYRYDEZ website and all digital content (including photos, prices, and offers) are provided for informational purposes only.We strive to keep all information accurate, but errors may occur. The Company reserves the right to correct any errors, change pricing, or update these Terms at any time without notice.

8. Limitation of Liability

 

To the maximum extent permitted by Illinois law, UPE JOYRYDEZ, its affiliates, owners, and employees shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or related to the use of our vehicles, website, or services, including but not limited to loss of profits, property damage, or personal injury.

9. Governing Law

 

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts located in Lake County, Illinois.
